This GoldenEye game video will give you an idea of the increased framerate when using an emulator versus a console. It's no contest. Close combat as witnessed in this video is really not pretty on console, but given the power of the PC, the level becomes very playable. Beautiful if you ask me. Nintendo 64 GoldenEye N64.

Same video as above, except this version is the best quality. You need Mpeg2 codec, but try it. This will show you the vivid difference between console and PC GoldenEye game . Of course this video cannot possibly capture the true brilliance of the graphics, but you get the idea.

Yep, this is a game that I lost. It was very intense and was really close. Cam is a smart player and finished second overall in the tournament. It's really amazing to see the framerate with 2 player GoldenEye. It's very fast and honestly it holds up to todays shooters like Halo. Of course not the pretty shadows and cosmetics, but 2 player GoldenEye is perfect as is. You certainly don't need faster in a shooter game in my opinion. |

Comments: |
My GoldenEye game site so I can brag right? haha. Okay, this was an amazing game though. I made 10 kills and the closest player at the end had 1. This was a 4 player game so 2 players had zero kills. We were playing the single screen setup as always which means you can't predict where players are. So part of luck was being at the right place at the right time. I hope you like it.
NOTE: you should increase the brightness on your video player before watching this. |

Yes Rare decided that 4 player Archives shouldn't be used. We agree to a certain point, but when you have All Rockets the framerate holds and it never freezes. Long live the Gameshark I say. In fact, this is the only weapon that we use with 4 player Archives. It's just crazy. Canister and glass and explosions!! Yes!! Oh, 4 players with All Snipers in LTK mode is decent. Heck even AR-33 + Proxies doesn't glitch too bad either. Stay away from weapons with high rates of fire with 4 player Archives. |

A bit of glitch with the explosions we like to call "shreddies". In case you were wondering Shreddies are a breakfast cereal that have a wafer look to them. Considering this is 4 player, the framerate holds pretty good. Not that much different that the original levels in multiplayer. All shotguns is one of the most draining combo's on the framerate because of all the calculations with the shot pellets. Of course this is a Gameshark only creation! |

Sometime when you watch footage you have to ask yourself, what were they thinking? Case in point. This isn't license to kill so what the hell was Ivan looking for in that room? Bad decision. I suppose we will never know the reasons why. Another classic kill by the man Jay. Notice the juicy use of the scope without even moving it. The cherry on the top has to be the breaking glass. His opponent was shattered after this one don't you think? Ivan didn't do well in this tournament. |

You will want to be watching Player 1 for the kill in this one. Sort of a strafing shot in the dark type kill. I'm sure that Dana would claim that it was all skill however. If you watch closely, you will see that Player 2 gets "stuck on a poly" which stops him dead in his tracks. Don't you just love the sounds of canisters exploding? |

Lawrence is Player 1 and Jay is Player 2 in this tournament clip. Jay was one of the best players for sure. Great at scoring headshots. Anyways, watch player 2 as his ammo runs out during the battle. GoldenEye game Futile |

Comments: |
This is Lawrence (top) vs Dave (bottom) from the GoldenEye game tournament in 2000. Dave always played GoldenEye with the C Look buttons UP/DOWN in reverse. Unfortunately during the tournament he wasn't able to use his familiar setting. The result? An inability to aim properly as you're about to see. If you can only imagine Daves frustration in this clip. I was watching this a couple years agoand laughing at the futile battle that took place. The rules in the tournament require 2 kills in a 5 minute match. Sadly this game finished with only 1 kill. They had to play it over! Notice at the end how close Player 1 was to dying. A final standoff with Dave using the Klobb and his opponent using the KF-7. Dave had his opponent down to a half bar of life when he runs away without realizing that even his Klobb would have done the job. I talked with Dave about his strategy. Keep picking up the Grenade Launcher and Armor! Watch the last 3 minutes with Dave up to an early 1-0 score. |
