Just over a year ago for the first time GoldenEye fans could peer into the citadel level thanks to Krijy. It did in fact actually exist! Could anyone have imaged that they would be able to play it multiplayer? Not only is it now playable, but it has an astonishing framerate and no blackouts or glitches. Zoinkity is the man behind this monumental hacking achievement. A fully playable and complete Citadel level in multiplayer. This was no small task or undertaking mind you. What you will experience took hours of blood, sweat and tears to create! So please, send Zoinkity and email thanking him for all the work and effort. This took over 9900 lines of code to pull off.

I've seen the progress of the level over the past year. I'm astonished at this release and how far it has come. It's beautiful and features some very unique elements and structure. When I was constructing these pages and screenshots over the past few days, I've become more and more fascinated by the level. Imagine a structure such as a pyramid. You might think of the layout of Citadel in this way.
At the top, just a single room and 4 ramps leading down. From each of the tile pads in this screenshot, is a ramp leading downward. These ramps lead into the four room screenshots below. This very small top room has one weapon placement.
The middle level has 4 unique rooms all connected by corridors, and all 4 rooms have ramps leading down to the lowest level. This room features odd shaped pillars which makes for easy escapes. In the center you will find a weapon placement.
This room takes a bit of getting used to. Yep it's a bit odd looking eh? Well if you make it to the very top you can enjoy a special weapon placement. After a couple of looks you will have the ramps figured out easily. On the floor in the center of the room is a weapon placement and a special weapon is placed on the platform you see high above.
Three little huts is how I describe this room. Each one with a ramp to the roof! On two of the roofs you can find either a weapon placement or a body armor. Make sure that you choose the right one!
This room below is a bit confusing based on the screenshot. Think of it this way. There is a room within a room. There are four corridors that lead into the middle. The middle of the room has small type compartments, one of which contains a weapon placement. The screenshot below is taken outside one of the four passage ways into the center of the room. Confused?
The lowest level features a vast arena which is hi lighted by white pillars pointing skyward. A big pit in the middle makes this the ultimate battle room. Believe me when I say this is a big room. You've never deathmatched in a GoldenEye room like this before. Closest size would likely be in Egyptian. There is a weapon placement on a ramp that runs above the pit, a special weapon placement in the pit and a body armor at the very bottom of the pit.
